Do Val, Pereira de Almeida, Ciaglia e Nascimento Law Firm, was visited by Mr. Robert Ward, Head of Global Projections of the EIU – Economist Intelligence Unit; in that occasion he gave an interview to the TV channel “Globo News” and he stated an explanation about the regaining of growth in the world economy.
According to Mr. Rober Ward’s elucidation, the American economy has a retraction tendency of approximately 3.2%, but he considers that there will be a stabilization in this year of 2009.
He believes that 2011 shall be the first year in which “we may be able to breathe a little bit” that is when he foresees a growth in the American economy boosted by President Obama’s economical policy.
Regarding China, he considers that in this year of 2009, that country shall grow 6.5%, due to the impulse of public investments, but, he warns that “Chinese authorities depend much on the recovery of the United Stated. Because Beijing’s macroeconomic standard cannot support itself in the long term, because they are emergency policies.” This dependence on the recovery of the American economy is a hazardous alternative, he stated.
He also said that there will be a retraction of the globalization, until Countries adjust themselves.
“In the year 2013, the world economy shall be growing at 3.1%, which is less than the 3.8% in 2007. The world will have been through a structural change; meaning that we will live in a world with a smaller growth speed”.
